The Boy With The Topknot

It was very important to directer Lynsey Miller and producer Nisha Parti that we echo the extremely personal and idiosyncratic nature of the film. We felt that creating a bespoke hand-drawn version of Baskerville, a font favoured by many novels, together with animation that reveals and obscures credits in a manner reminiscent of hazy memories, gave us an appropriate sense of incompleteness, imperfect recollection, and personal testimony. This was a good match for both the story and the aesthetics of the flashback live action background.
