Sean Ellis’ brilliant and haunting film needed a very simple design. We shot some nice bokeh effects and manipulated them in After Effects to create a visual metaphor for the protagonists’ faint hopes for prosperity in the big city. Congratulations to Sean and company for their win of the Audience award at Sundance 2013, among other accolades.
